Candy!

Here is my look for today.

I was inspired by Tanja's My Little Pony ad Vegas A's Geometric Eighties, mine was very rushed so it doesnt look nearly as good as theirs, but you get the idea.

I also thought I'd ad in my hairstyle for the day, as I ended up making it into more of a pinup look, again very rushed and had no hairspray, so having the top down in the car got very windy >.<

Here are two videos I found really helpful and easy to follow for pinup victory rolls, Sweep to the side vintage (check out more of ClassicRetroGlamour for fantastic tutorials in vintage hairstyles) Victory rolls tutorial

120 Eyeshadow Palette

I've been asked a lot lately about what eyeshadow I use.

I usually use my 120 palette that I bought online from BH Cosmetics for about $30.
The colours are good enough for the time being, but if you want to really make the colours pop, you need to use a primer/ eyeshadow base. I'd recommend the NYX eyeshadow base in white, I've found that its cheap and does the job well. You can also get the 120 palette on Ebay if you want to try and save a bit more. If you do buy from ebay I recommend telling the seller to make sure they package it well because the pots do crack and break during transport, as has happened to me once before :(

Will post a new look later tonight/tomorrow :D

Makeup Series?

I'm thinking of doing a makeup series but I'm not sure on what to do.

I don't want to do 7 deadly sins because they get sooooo over done, or Alice in wonderland as it seems to be the popular one at the moment.

So I dont know....what do you think I should do a series on?

Candy maybe?
Nature?
Harlequin?

Snow White!!!

Oh yeah...i bought a wig recently because as much as I love my rainbow hair, sometimes I'd like to be a different colour for the day....I cant dye my  hair that often, nor do I have the money D:

I got the idea from Tanja's blog Rose Shock.
She has a whole range of wonderful wigs, so I thought it would be a good way to constantly change my hair colour while keeping it rainbow :P

So why the white wig? I cant get my hair this light, having black hair, well I probs could, but it wouldn't be as even, so i bought this one :) It is a silvery white and it's 40 inches long (so basicly down to my bum). I got the wig here on ebay for only $23.99, they have a whole bunch of awesome wigs....

Im not sure on how I should style it though, what do you think?

I could quite possibly get addicted to them....

Greeeeeennn....

I had to do my nails last night and couldn't think of what to do, so this is what I came up with...

Pin up look

So my sister asked me to do her makeup for her river cruise, unfortunately ill be in Mandurah, so I did my look for today to give her an idea of something she can do herself :)

I decided on a pinup look because she is wearing a cream dress and fire engine red shoes, and the pinup look as a classic and beautiful.

Here is what I came up with-

Eyes:
champagne colour all over the top and bottom lid
light gold on the outer crease to the middle blended out
grey on the outer corner blended into the gold (black is too harsh)
White matte under the eyebrow for highlight
Black liquid liner with wings for iconic pinup look (small amount of liner on bottom lid to middle, then blended out)
Last of all mascara ( I would usually put false lashes as well)

Lips:
Red lip liner around edges and then blended inwards to lips (to stop lipstick bleeding)
Red lipstick on top (mines matte)
Dark pink lip gloss

Cheeks:
Plum/pink blush lightly brushed onto apples of cheeks and very lightly blended up across cheek bone)

Hope you enjoy!

NYX Glitter and Pearl Pigment Review

Hey guys,

I purchased some rediculously cheap makeup from Cherry Culture a few weeks ago and havent really had he chance to review it.

Here are some of the eyeshadows and glitter I bought...

White, Pearl, White Glitter, Purple Glitter, Blue Glitter

First of all, the bottles they come in are much smaller than what i expected, BUT after playing around with them a little, I realised that a little goes a looooonnng way, so the size of the bottle isnt an issue.
The NYX Glitters are amazing, I LOVE THEM! The white and purple glitters just shine in the light like no tommorrow. The blue glitter is much finer than the other two, but it still give an amazing shine.

Here is a link to their store for the NYX Glitters

White Glitter
Blue Glitter
Purple Glitter

The NYX pearl pigments are a MUST HAVE for shimmer, they are amazing, they are easy to use and again, a little goes a long way, perfect to add a some shimmer to a look.

Here is a link to the NYX Pearl Pigments

White pigment, Pearl pigment, Eyeshadow Base

The NYX eye shadow base (white) is good, depending on how you use it. I've tried to put it one with nothing underneith and I found that you need to only use a very thin layer or it will clump. I havent had this problem with other bases, but I tend to use this one with a little mix of foundation and its fine. Over all this is a great product to keep you makeup in place and have bold stand out colours.

Here is a link to the NYX Eyeshadow Base
Eyeshadow Base in White

Over all, these products are AMAZING and at such a cheap price! The NYX Glitter was $2.50 each, the eyeshadow base in white was $4.99 and the Pearl Pigments were $1.99! SERIOUSLY HOW CHEAP IS THAT!!!!! I did get them at a reduced price because i signed up to their newsletter and made an account, which bought them down from $3.00 for the pigments and glitter and $7.00 for the base, but even that is stupidly cheap! Both pigments and glitter come in SOOOOO many awesome colours its really hard not to buy them all at once!

And Cherry Culture dont just carry these, but some other amazing brands at really low prices and they have heaps of sales on like 20%-50% off selected items, so go buy some stuff now!

I will have some pictures up soon of these products in use!

QUESTION: What's the best bargain you've every got?
